Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks Jan Novák for providing the [Italian-Czech] dictionary. He asks JN about the piano excerpt of THE FIELD MASS sent to him by [Karel] Šebánek. The extract is so bad that BM does not believe that JN made it. There are obvious mistakes in it and it is also drawn badly that there is not much left of the whole thing. When someone sees it, they will think the editor screwed up and JN will be embarrassed. BM can't allow such a lift to circulate, it would be bad publicity for the work. How could they and KS let it be released? Why didn't they send the lift to BM earlier? BM will fix the part to see how it should be done and send it to KS and he will show it to JN.
