ContentKarel Šebánek thanks for the letter he received on the first day of his holiday. On his return from the country he arranged the matter according to [František Martinů's] wishes. The Minister of Information, Václav Kopecký, asked KS to visit Bohuslav [Martinů] in Paris and invite him to Czechoslovakia. BM's costs would be covered by the Ministry, which was also planning a contract for BM's entire life's work, which would be published by the state. During his visit to the Minister of VK, KS mentioned the condition and woes of FM, whereupon VK immediately had 10,000,- paid, which KS had just sent. FM is to thank the Minister at the above address. This is probably not the last contribution. KS will arrange the rest when he returns from Paris. FM is to write to [BM] that KS will arrive early next week and that he will be staying at the Hotel d'Angleterre, rue Jacob, Paris VI e. BM is to leave him the address where they will meet.
