ContentToday Bohuslav Martinů received a letter from Prague from Vitězslava Kapralová. But he writes to her in Tře Studní because he thinks she will be there by now. He would prefer to be at home, although he would be of no use there. For the time being, he is instead here in seclusion. The Swiss are very kind to them, and they are also all indignant at the turn of events. BM is calmer here than in Paris. He must not lose hope. He's not going to Prague. She is waiting to hear what news she has received from Shaf. [Miloš Šafránek]. He will stay here for a few days in October, longer than originally planned, because the environment here allows him to believe that there are other, more beautiful things in the world than what is happening. On Wednesday he wrote her his address in Brno. He doesn't know if she received the letter, so he writes to her again. VK is supposed to write where she is and how the scholarship turned out. What she decided. She has to say hello to her mother and the girls of Novak. If she had decided to come earlier, he is to write, he could ask Š. [Otakar Šourek?] who might arrange a discount on [the air ticket] for her. They made a mistake by not informing in June. He remembers her and home.
