Content and physical description
ContentRichard Klos sends a letter from Charlotte Martinů to the secretary of the National Theatre, enclosed, addressed to Přemysl Koci regarding his consideration of the designs for the Bohuslav Martinů bust. On the recommendation of the secretary, he spoke to Václav Holzknecht, who is informed about the bust issue. RK recommends that this be used to deal with this tactfully. It is known from ChM's stay here that ChM wants to accommodate the sculptor Marta Jirásková, whom he has known for a long time, rather than exert a really significant influence on the progress of the Director of the National Theatre. Initially RK judged from ChM's letter that it was just a copy for their information, but it appears that ChM wanted to use their services to mediate. Neither the National Theatre nor VH was aware of the matter. MJ's sculptor was honoured for her design, so the emphasis is more on the emotional side of things. In conclusion, RK would like to thank you for your kind cooperation.
