Content and physical description
ContentNote of an unknown employee "HB" for Mr Wilhelm Strecker, answering to his requests in context with the publishing of THE PARABLES, H 367, in Germany.

He deals with 1) problems concerning the main title, 2) the titles of the individual movements, 3) the theme texts and 4) the layout of the print material.

1) WS thinks, that the title "Parabeln" is not the best, he has no concrete imagination about what it is and asked for alternatives. HB thinks, the German "Gleichnisse" would be applicable, regarding to the texts of Saint-Exupéry, and, that the titles should be in German. At the same time there is a problem with their religious connotation. He and Mr Pilz thus decided for the more international title "Drei Parabeln für Orchester".

2) Is the main title German, so should be the subtitles. As it is not that easy transfer the genuine meaning from French to German, there is a need to consult about this with Mrs Wolf, which should not delay the production process, though.

3) Same for the french theme texts. There should be good English and German translations added by and printed into the programmes, for the work being understood properly by the audience.

4) The print layout should be that way, that there exists material as well as for the whole opus, "PARABOLY", as for the third movement to be performed just individually. In this case it should be named only with the subtitle.
