ContentA record [from the Office of the President of the Republic] in which [Ivan] Ballo quotes parts of a letter [BarF 1947-02-13] submitted to him by František Bartoš in which Bohuslav Martinů writes about the repatriation money which he cannot collect because his health does not allow him to return. In view of BM's difficult situation, the composer would like the honorary gift from the President to be paid as soon as possible. Included in the same report is a handwritten addendum by IB of the same date, in which IB reported that the Chancellor [Jaromír Smutný] had decided that the envoy [Ján] Papánek should be asked by cipher telegram to pay the sum urgently.
