Content and physical description
ContentThe President of the Czech Academy announces in relation to Bohuslav Martinů's letter of 4 April 1932 [4 March 1932?] that the Music Department of Class IV of the Czech Academy decided at a meeting on 19 April 1932 that the deadline for the submission of orchestral scores would next be extended until the end of August. However, due to lack of funds, it is not possible to comply with BM's proposal regarding the publication of the pieces. In a letter dated 9 April 1932, BM asked about Professor Otakar Zich's file, Czech Dances with Variable Beats. The work was not published by the Czech Academy, but in the Ethnographic Bulletin as a separate work. He recommends BM to contact OZ directly and adds his address (Prague XII - Korunní 150). The price of Helfert's Music at Jaroměřice Castle is 75,-. BM can apply for it to the 1st class, which will have a meeting at the end of May. He also informs that Hostinsky's book has already been dismantled and encloses the requested lists of publications.
