Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů replies to a letter from Jiří Tancibudek, who asked for his help. BM cannot help him much, he has many similar requests for intervention. Engaging an orchestra is complicated, he thinks the easiest way would be to go to Australia. However, another half a million people have been allowed in, so JT hopes to be lucky. BM can't sign any engagements himself. However, he attaches an English-language recommendation that might help. BM keeps his fingers crossed for JT and asks him to keep him informed of any change.
In the recommendation BM writes that JT is a great oboe player and recommends his coming to the US or Canada to start a happier life.
