Content and physical description
ContentLydia Čechová’s memories of Bohuslav Martinů. A typescript dated March 1987, along with more extensive handwritten notes without a date. LČ recalls how BM used to visit them at the rectory in Borová during World War I, playing the piano or reading books. BM dedicated his POLKA No. 2 to LČ, which she later donated to the museum in Polička. They would meet there together with the Masaryk family. BM taught her to play the piano. She recalls an invitation from Charlotte Masaryková, where she, LČ, and Alice Masaryková listened to BM and Olga Borová play. LČ further describes her visit to BM’s grave in Pratteln in 1965 and another visit there in 1974.
