Content and physical description
ContentKarel Boleslav Jirák writes to Bohuslav Martinů that he has married Blanka Benešová, he could not be so lonely. He has no news from Prague. KBJ is dealing with a situation with his residence permit in the USA, which has expired and he has to get a new one. They'll keep him at Roosevelt College until June. KBJ wanted to sell the house he owns in Prague where he has all his savings, but he has news from home that the apartment buildings will be nationalized, so he probably won't get collateral that way either. BM wrote that he was planning a visit to Prague in March, could he take the opportunity to find out the situation regarding the site for KBJ? If the Prague site doesn't work out, could he use the influence of someone famous? A la [Sergei] Kussevitsky? KBJ only knows Olin Downes, what about him? Alternatively, if BM were to relocate to Prague, couldn't he recommend KBJ for himself?
