Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks Karel Boleslav Jirák for explaining the situation, but he does not remember that he had aspired to a place at the Prague Conservatoire, nor does he recall the letter he wrote to Jirák in 1939. He was in the air at the time, he was in Czechoslovakia in 1938 for a reunion, and he missed him also because of personal matters, but he did not really think about returning. It's a good thing that [Jaroslav] Křička got the job then. The whole case is in the past and they can let it go. BM is not wrong in his choice of friends. He doesn't have many, but he has enough. In Prague they are waiting for BM to appoint the professors of the Academy. If KBJ needs help with anything, BM offers himself. BM finds it hard to come to KBJ, after the injury everything is tiring. BM was surprised by the news of KBJ's divorce. BM remembers KBJ's mother from his receptions in Spalena Street where BM assisted.
