ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks you for your wishes for his sixtieth birthday. He is not looking forward to the celebrations, he remembers the people at home. The reports about Steiner [?] are false, she runs around like a quail. A lot of the stuff they read in the CSR is fake. [Rudolf] Firkušný still travels around the world and has a big name. BM tries to write and life goes by fast. He sends Karel Novak a photograph of himself and a packet of coffee and a few cigarettes. BM sends greetings to [Jan] Zrzavy, who is probably angry with him about [Alain] Diviš. BM also sends greetings to A. Diviš, if KN knows him. BM has regular messages from Polička, hopefully they have at least some peace.
