I received your telegram and we have cabled to Carisch in Milan to send to Vienna a used material of Persephone. We know that he is in possession of one, and it is very probable that it is the same one which you used in your Basle performance. There will now therefore be two materials in Vienna, one used and one unused.
We are still awaiting confirmation from Carisch.
I was sorry to have missed you in London, and I see that the Vienna programme has been changed. Still, I hope to see you there.
