ContentHenriette Hirshman informs Bohuslav Martinů that his PARABOLS was a huge success. Charles Munch asked her to inform BM that he would like to meet him. ChM leaves for New York, where he will conduct the PARABOLES on 2/21/1959. Perhaps BM had the opportunity to hear the work at the Radiodiffusion française. HH regrets that neither BM nor Charlotte Martinů were able to attend this premiere in person. However, BM had probably already received a telegram and programme from Boston Symphony Hall.
