ContentDilia thanks Charlotta Martinů for her letter of 8 Sep. The writer was pleased by ChM's interest in his son [the real writer is probably Bušková, it is her son and ChM does not refer to him as Zdeněk Pechold's son, see DLA 1964-09-08 and DLA 1964-10-03]. He spent almost two months in France and returned delighted. They were in Bulgaria [meaning Zdeněk Pechold and Bušková?] Isn't ChM ever going to Prague?
Jaromír Špaček contacted the writer about material for CONCERT FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA No. 3, to be sent to San Francisco for performance with Rudolf Firkušný. Karel Šebánek informed the writer that the material had already been sent to the New York Philharmonic in March. The concerts were to take place in San Francisco in March 1965 and in New York in February.
All BM works represented by foreign agencies are performed in the CSO on the condition that royalties be remitted to the appropriate agency. Only for works belonging to Dilia are royalties deposited in Charlotte's account at the Prague Živnostenska Bank. The complications this caused last time were inadvertent and will not be repeated.
The writer hopes that it is still nice in France and that ChM has rested during the holidays.
