ContentHeinz Zeebe learned that Conrad Beck had spoken to Bohuslav Martinů about the Festliche Tage Neuer Kammermusik festival in Braunschweig. CB and Marcel Mihalovici had been to the festival five times and thought they could invite BM this year. The date of the festival will be between 3 and 14 November. HZ added the prospectus from the last Music Week. The City of Braunschweig would pay for his return ticket from Basel, hotel and also DM 20 for each day of his stay. If BM came, they would play one of his pieces for chamber orchestra, one for string quartet and also some instrumental pieces or songs. HZ asked if BM had any piece that had not yet been performed in Germany that would be of interest to the press. HZ hopes BM will accept the invitation to the festival.
