Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kapralová thanks Pavel Deutsch for his letter and for his support in promoting music. She would like to organize a concert, but there are no musicians. Perhaps the PD should rather approach [Vilém] Tauský of the Brno theatre. There are pianists ([Rudolf] Firkušný, [Marie?] Krausová, [Hans Walter] Süsskind) but no other instrumentalists. There was to be a gala concert at the Opera Comique with a programme of [Antonín] Dvořák - Carneval and Moravian Double Songs, Martenot's Waves, [?] Strauss. In the end, VK and [Bohuslav] Martinů organised two concerts, one with French artists and a French programme and one with Czech artists and a Czech programme. Firkušný performed VK's April Preludes at Triton, 8 February. [1940] her Symfonietta will be broadcast. Bohuslav Martinů asks if his two letters to PD have arrived; Martinů missed PD's letter as he was temporarily away in Paris. VK is doing two piano dances for R[udolf] Firkušný and asks PD for a suggestion for a title, would she like something like Martinů's BOROVÁ.
