ContentHe informed the Czechoslovak Sokol community of his advice and the matter began to interest him; he thinks he has resolved the question of the ceremonial overture favourably; he has sent the score to Prague for audition and asks for his intervention; he thinks he will like the piece, which he will certainly recognise by the "manner of the work" [the piece won the second prize at the time].

Vážený příteli,

dle Vaší rady, informoval jsem se v

Českosl. obci sokolské a věc mne začla zají-

mati, takže jsem po svém příjezdu rozřešil

tuto otázku slavnostní overtury a myslím že

příznivě. Zaslal jsem partituru tyto dny

do Prahy ke konkursu a prosím Vás bude-li

Vám to možné věnujte mi svůj hlas v můj

prospěch. Myslím ostatně že se Vám skladba

bude líbit a jistě ji poznáte dle způsobu

práce. Děkuji Vám a srdečně Vás zdravím.
