Content and physical description
ContentKarel Šolc was surprised by Zdeněk Zouhar's letter of 11.12.1967 [ŠolK 1967-12-11] asking about the compositions of B[ohuslav] M[artinů]. KS writes that he has long been excluded from performing in official circles, but KS's musical activity began as early as 1917 and since then he has performed 100 manuscript compositions by mostly Czech "progressive" composers and has produced over 115 piano excerpts. He is now active in the editions of [Bedřich] S[metana], [Antonín] D[vořák] and [Zdeněk] F[ibich]. Even Czechoslovak Radio ignores KS's pianistic activities and has featured his recordings only once or twice, although he has recorded several BM compositions. In a letter dated 22 March 1967, CSR wrote to him that the recordings had been deleted, which KS doubts. Privately, much could be said about this, but KS will not reply to Zouhar's official letter for the reasons given above.
