ContentRoberta Finlayson-Samsour thanks Miloš Šafránek for his letter and expresses her admiration for his diligence. Šafránek's publications on Bohuslav Martinů have confirmed to the RFS that there is a gap in the market, particularly in Britain, where interest in BM's music is growing alongside interest in the music of Albert Roussel. After the New Year, he will again approach publishers with Šafránek's book "Martinů - His Life and Work" and also with the manuscript "BM Theatre", currently being translated. The publishers will be interested to see if they can reprint the photographic material. The RFS notes the idea of MS to produce a major book on BM by synthesising his work to date, but the RFS advises to concentrate on "The Theatre of BM" first. RFS advises MS that she has not yet received a fee for her [translation] work on "The BM Theatre" and on the synopsis for Kenn Russell. RFS looks forward to publishing "Recollection" to the MC if the MC can send her a copy when it is published. RFS hopes to meet with the MC in the UK.
