Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů received his June instalment today, so his finances are in order. It's hard to say what will happen to him next. He'll drop by Josef Schieszl's office in early July and ask for advice. He is secured for the holidays, has received the Czech Academy Award and will be in the Czech countryside with his wife for 2-3 months. When he returns to Paris at the end of September, his life will be difficult. His publishers, including Schott, begin to have financial difficulties. BM is happy to get things printed. Later in the letter he addresses diplomatic matters: the request by Miloš Šafránek to Rousset for a journalism degree, problems with the CTK in Paris over misleading information published in Czechoslovak newspapers.
