Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks you for your suggestion and your willingness to submit his request to the Ministry and to support it with your intercession. He encloses his request, which is a measure against forgetfulness, and asks to be informed of the result and the Minister's opinion. As far as he knows, there will be a place after [Karl] Hoffmeister, perhaps still after J. B. Foerster, and also Václav Talich may not keep his place because of his workload in the theatre. Perhaps the new law on pensions will also make new places available, for example after Vítězslav Novák. If something needs to be done or a direct request made to the Ministry, it will be sent immediately. He can't come to Prague now, things have become more complicated and it's getting harder to defend his existence. He has to work very quickly and not waste time, but when his presence is necessary, he would free himself.
