Content and physical description
ContentThis letter welcomes Bohuslav Martinů and his wife. The university opens today. Temporary plans will be made for BM students for the time being. They have booked Wednesday and Thursday afternoons for his regular classes, but this may be changed later. Roy D. Welch believes that the study of music composition, analysis and orchestration will interest students. If BM wishes, they can provide a room for students to consult with him outside of regularly scheduled hours. RDW seems likely that most of BM's work could be given to students individually or in small groups. If BM wishes to speak with him and colleagues before Wednesday morning, this is possible. All he has to do is call on a Saturday or Sunday. Otherwise, he looks forward to seeing him on Wednesday, September 29 at noon.
