Content and physical description
ContentR. D. Welch told Randall Thompson that Bohuslav Martinů might accept an invitation to teach composition at Princeton University. RT hopes that he will indeed do so. He has long known and loved his music, and through his friend Leopold Mannes he feels as if they know each other personally. Princeton is a nice place with good access to creative work, and RT feels that BM would be happy here, both teaching and in his own life and work. She assures him that he will find a very understanding environment here. Some of the students are really talented and all are keen to learn. It's up to him to decide, but RT was happy here and would be happy for BM to come here.
