Content and physical description
ContentAs a result of the Board of Trustees' deliberations and other circumstances, it is not possible to postpone a decision on Bohuslav Martinů's continued tenure at Princeton University. What R. D. Welch writes is not what he himself would have wanted, but he hopes BM will consider it favorably. At present it is not possible for BM to have a full-time position here, so he is being offered, as Professor Alfred Einstein has been for the past two years, a part-time position at half salary. This would mean a commitment to attend the school only once a week and the teaching would consist of individual talks with the possibility of group meetings. RDW hopes BM will be able to accept this, they would love to have him here. If BM deems it appropriate, he would be happy to meet with him in his office on Thursdays.
