ContentJos Vranken thanks them for the photograph and everything Bohuslav Martinů wrote about "Soldiers mass" [POLNÍ MŠE]. Of course, they will send him the book when it is finished. Albert Prins said that BM will come to Belgium. JV will come to Brussels to meet him. Thanks to the photo, they at least know what BM looks like. JV is happy that the idea of BM writing something for his choirs is growing. Since the Dutch composers heard the FIELD MASS they have written several similar compositions for wind instruments and male choir. On 8 February JV conducted the FIELD MASS in Bergen op Zooma and it was very good. However, JV's only desire is to have a new composition like FIELD MASS, although he is aware of the problems of finding a good text. If they received the sheet music early enough, they could do it when BM is in Brussels. But surely BM must visit the Netherlands and listen to the FIELD MASS. There are men all over the Netherlands who have sung this song.
