ContentBedřich Janáček sent the press draft of Martinů's VIGILIE to the publishing house Éditions Max Eschig on 13 November. BJ also wrote a French preface explaining his changes to the Martinů manuscript. Should Eschig not wish to publish the work, BJ knows of a publisher in London who would certainly be interested. BJ asks Eschig for a 1/4 or 1/5th royalty share and asks Charlotte Martinů if she has any objections. The light-press copy of the manuscript, which BJ has in his possession, he would like to keep as a keepsake unless ChM or Eschig need it.
