Content and physical description
ContentOlga Koussevitzky introduces Bohuslav Martinů to the International Music Fund, founded by Sergei Koussevitzky in 1948. This institution seeks to promote contemporary composers and international cooperation between musical personalities. The Fund is supported by UNESCO. OK (?) will be the director and Sir Steuart Wilson will be the vice-president. Several prominent personalities have already confirmed their cooperation with this institution. Roosevelt, Albert Schweitzer, Eduard Herriot, Pablo Casals, Jean Sibelius, Igor Stravinsky, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Ralph Vaughan Williams. The organisation would be very honoured if Bohuslav Martinů were to become a member of the International Committee. Membership would entail no obligations for him and his interest could support the active work of the Fund.
