Content and physical description
Content[SYMPHONY No. 1] was a huge success. Koussevitzky and the orchestra are delighted and play it brilliantly. Firkushny will hear it next Saturday in New York. Martinů would like to get Toscanini for this performance. He has already written to Horszowski about it, but Firkušný might also help in one of Firkušný and Toscanini's joint sessions. It may not be possible to get him there, but it's worth a try. I'm sure he'd love it, because it sounds terrific. Firkushny has to see what he can do. Burgin says hello to Firkushny.
