Content and physical description
ContentMr. [Carl] Dolmetsch, the general editor of the series [probably "Dolmetsch Recorder Series"] went through the composition Bohuslav Martinů wrote for them [DIVERTIMENTO FOR TWO RECORDERS] and appreciated the fact that he had intended to contribute to their series. However, CD found the musical material not suitable for this instrument. Alfred Kalmus therefore returns the manuscript to BM and wonders whether he would not try once more to do something else, preferably a small piece based on folk melodies which may be set for two recorders. They would examine it profoundly and inform BM how to continue. AK has not heard from Alfred Schlee about his visit of Martinů on Saturday but he is sure that AS enjoyed it.
