ContentBM wrote to Hoffmann about his symphonic piece The Tempest; BM had the score sent directly from Prague, where Talich played it; The Tempest is dedicated to Linbergh, "depicting his landing at Bourget near Paris"; the premiere in America was conducted by Koussevitzky (18.11.1927); in an appendix to the letter he sends samples of reviews in the American press; "since Dvořák no composer of ours has had greater success in America"; the second appendix is a survey of BM's compositions; "I recommend again this outstanding artist".
