ContentMrs. Elaine Fagin of Columbia Concerts presented Gertrude Smith with a set of parts for CONCERTO FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA No.3 (without score), which Charlotte Martinů had sent her for Rudolf Firkušný and The San Francisco Symphony. At the same time, the Czech Music Fund sent the same materials to The New York Philharmonic Symphony, who also have concerts scheduled with RF. Unfortunately, due to confusion in the Boosey & Hawkes records, both institutions were told that B&H did not have this work. However, B&H have a contract with the CHF, and GS is trying to put things right. The materials sent by ChM will be retained by B&H and GS will explain the situation to Karel Šebánek of the CHF.
P.S. GS is asking ChM whether the materials she sent are hers or belong to CHF. They would like to keep them permanently in NYC.
