ContentDavid Adams informs Charlotte Martinů that with this letter Boosey & Hawkes withdraws the commission to manage eleven works by Bohuslav Martinů (originally stipulated in BM's letter of 3.3.1953). At the same time he returns the following material to ChM: THUNDERBOLT P-47 (2 sets of parts and master sheet music), TRIO No.2 FOR HOUSEL, VIOLONCELLO AND PIANO (1 copy of piano part, master sheets of all parts), DUO NO.2 FOR HOUSEL AND VIOLO (master sheets), CONCERTO FOR TWO HOUSELS AND ORCHESTRA (master sheets of score). B&H will retain possession of the 2 scores, 2 sets of materials and master sheets of the parts of CONCERTO FOR TWO HOUSELETS AND ORCHESTRA until 31 March 1961, i.e. until the exclusivity of The Beal Twins expires. After that the material will be handed over to ChM.
