ContentEducation and Culture Minister František Kahuda learned from Vojtěch Strnad and Miloslav Bureš about the poor health of Bohuslav Martinů. He also greets him on behalf of the ministry and invites him to visit Czechoslovakia: "Since you have shown so much interest in new initiatives from home and since I believe that this would certainly contribute to your full recovery, I ask you to accept my sincere invitation to visit your homeland [...]. I am convinced that your personal knowledge of today's Czechoslovakia will contribute to the creation of new beautiful compositions, which we all look forward to as much as a personal meeting with you."
