Dear Mr. Martinu,

When we read the proofs of the parts to your “Parables” some questions arose the solution of which we have to ask you for.

At first something that seems to be very important: The study-numbers 17, 18 and 19 in Nr. III were missing in the score. On the pages 71 and 73, however, we found the numbers 2 and 3 which do not seem to be at the right place there. We guess that a mistake was made when pages were added to the manuscript.

Our corrector made some question-marks in the enclosed string-parts. In case you should need the score to straighten them out please write to the writer of the parts, Mr. Ernst Vogel, Basel, Leonhardsgraben 20; but you may also ring him up (Tel. 244816).

We should like you to send the corrected parts directly back to Mr. Vogel whom we informed about the matter.
