Content and physical description
ContentPaul Sacher acknowledges receipt of the letters of 20 September and 23 September.
Informs Bohuslav and Charlotte Martin about their planned trip: the American ships are full and two places can be booked for 4 December at the earliest. PS can send them tickets - then they could easily get transit visas for Spain and Portugal. PS is adding information about visas, tickets, and the trip from Aix-en-Provence to Lisbon, which may take up to a week.
Jean Rudolph Frey did not send his boxes himself, but they were sent by Sacher's father-in-law, who has all the documents for them. PS could deliver them to the composer and he would take them with him as his property. They cannot be sent because it is impossible to obtain a certificate of origin from England. There are only books in the boxes. It would take six weeks to send them from Marseilles to Lisbon, so BM should let him know right away if he can take them with him.
BM and ChM might be able to leave earlier if spaces become available on previous voyages.
