ContentHe got two letters from her. He's devastated by the news of what's happening. At home, his mother is sick, he doesn't know what will happen to them. Mentally he is in a bad way, only the moments when he works at the piano he considers brighter. He wrote to the Institute, but no news. They will probably be returning to Paris this Sunday, she is to write to him at his Paris address. He urges VK not to make any decisions now and points out the vocation to which they are both committed.
