ContentHe is sending a copy of the latest version of the libretto. The third and fourth acts are much altered. He's going to shorten the text of the beginning to make room for the music. He's working on the first act. He's wasted a lot of time looking for an apartment. He is still in a hotel for now, and will have an apartment by 12/15 (he gives both addresses at the end of the letter). Sends clipping from the New York Times announcing his opera. He is very much looking forward to working hard on the opera. He will go to France in May and hopes to bring Kazantzakis a large part (of the opera) finished.
