ContentHe thanks Š. for the letter and the help he gave him and Vítězslava Kaprálová; he asks Š. to investigate the situation of her scholarship at the Ministry of Education, as a performance of her Sinfonietta has been arranged in Paris for the beginning of December, which K. conducts; thanks for the encouraging words in this situation (Munich Agreement further developments); realizes that "even what has happened cannot touch the ideals that an artist carries in his heart"; this awareness strengthens him, although "at the moment it seems as if I have forgotten how to compose at all and also have no sense of work"; plans to return to Prague definitively, hopes to be able to benefit our new goals in other ways than composition.
