Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů responds to the letter of 28 December [1958], looking forward to cooperation. He agrees to the offers, only in the case of the opera [MIRANDOLINA?] he has much more favourable offers from Boosey & Hawkes and Universal Edition. The National Theatre asks him for the first edition of MIRANDOLINA for the 1959 Festival. They offer to take care of the running material and translation. He has to make a quick decision as he is very interested in a Prague performance. He asks that they send the piano lift to the director of the National Theatre in Prague as soon as possible; Prague will return it within two weeks. He fears that they will not be able to meet in Zurich because of his health.
