ContentGN writes in a disappointed and concerned tone. She asks him how things really went with his play in the Radok production [The Thief of the City of London, premiered 29 June 1962 at the Comedy Theatre, Prague], as she feels from MS's letter that it was a failure. Radok wrote to him about the success and that the productions would continue from September. GN is worried about what Radok has done to his play - he has sent him a request to make extensive alterations. GN, under the constant experience of the Brussels production of the play [Laterna magika, 1958], allowed him to do what he wanted. GN feels wronged because he has tried to bend his will to success.
