ContentMaja asks Adolf to prevent the publication of the relationship between BM and Roe Barstow, both in a revised version of Miloš Šafránek's book and by publishing the correspondence between BM and RB. (The two are said to be in contact for this purpose.) She has been warned of these intentions and, as Charlotte would not be able to bear it, she asks him instead. She describes at length how BM and Roe came to be acquainted and how this woman came to be interposed between the Martins. Maja hopes that this won't ruin his holiday. She gives the addresses of MA and RB. Charlotte is really grateful to him that she can turn to him to handle all her affairs.
