ContentAS advised that ChM, as BM's sole heir, had become a member of their society and had appointed him personally to protect its interests. It was learned by hearsay that MC was preparing a new edition of her biography of BM and that she intended to mention BM's relationship with Rosalie Barstow there. He understands that a biography cannot ignore the facts, but is concerned that their one-sided portrayal could harm Mrs ChM. He asks if he would welcome access to other sources - to avoid falling victim to certain misconceptions. She also sends him a copy of a letter of the same date to R. Barstow (see XL. E/1) and asks him to note its contents. He awaits his reply and thanks him in advance for it.
