Content and physical description
ContentThank you for your kind letter and for your interest in him. He understands the reasons for appointing L. Vycpalek to succeed Suk. He discusses the hypothetical possibility of returning to Prague, which would be quite difficult for him. At the same time he mentions at length the material difficulties of his life so far. After all, Prague would mean a certain security. He is pessimistic about his current situation and future prospects. He stresses that he wants to return home, that he still maintains contact with his homeland and the Czech musical language, although he is often accused of the opposite. The only other possible place for Křička would be if he went to a masterclass. However, BM would not be interested in this position, but not for prestigious reasons. Compared to the master school, he would have no room here to continue his own compositional work, and thus no room for his overall benefit. He hopes that he will still have the opportunity to discuss this matter personally with people in Prague. He thanks you for your news, advice and intercession and extends his and his wife's warmest greetings to both of them. He encloses his Paris address.
