Content and physical description
ContentJan Löwenbach encloses in his letter the promised article on Bohuslav Martinů for “Tempo”, it is the first essay written about the composer. For various reasons, JL could not use all his articles, nor the Czech outline he wrote immediately after BM’s arrival in the USA. He asks for the text’s English to be proof-read by an editor experienced in literary and musical terms. He wants to see the proofs prior to printing. As for the text on the DOUBLE CONCERTO, Hans Heinsheimer will receive it within a few days; in the meantime, he should send a draft contract. P.S. JL asks for the text to contain a paragraph listing BM’s publishers in Czechoslovakia, Europe and the USA.
