Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks them for the parts of the STRING QUARTET NO. 2 and hopes that soon he will have the score too. The quartet was performed here (and in Nantes) 4 times to great acclaim. He needs some scores for the critics and agents. He asks whether they will distribute the available copies themselves, or whether he should send them important addresses, or whether he should distribute them himself. Mr. Frank [Maurits] has informed him that they have perhaps accepted his DUO for violin and cello. He will soon send them the corrected parts. At the same time, he sends his newest piano work, “Drei Skizzen Moderner Tänzen” [THREE SKETCHES]. He repeats that it is necessary that they publish it (as well as the THREE CZECH DANCES); piano pieces would most easily raise his profile, he has already received a number of requests for piano works. And he certainly cannot propagate them in the form of autographs. They should send him the score soon.
